Paul first met our designer, Laura, at the gym, and later came to us with a very personal jewellery project. He had an antique ring with real sentimental value, along with a mined sapphire that he and Ruth had bought together. Rather than keeping them separate or tucked away, Paul wanted to create one bespoke ring that Ruth could wear and enjoy every day.

The brief was simple: use the original pieces in a way that felt personal, but make the finished ring feel like Ruth. Laura worked with Paul to understand what mattered most about the antique ring, the sapphire, and Ruth’s style. From there, she designed a new ring that brought everything together in a considered, wearable way.

The finished piece kept the sentiment of the original jewellery, while giving it a completely new life. The sapphire became the centre of the design, creating a bespoke ring with a story behind it, but one that still felt natural, modern, and made for Ruth.
