We have always believed that the best jewellery does more than look beautiful. It should mean something. It should stand for something. And where possible, it should do something good in the world.
This collaboration with the Born Free Foundation is one of the projects we are most proud of in our history. Here is the story behind it.

The Collaboration
Born Free is one of the most important wildlife conservation charities in the world, working to keep wildlife in the wild and protect animals from exploitation and suffering. When the opportunity came to work with them - and with their patron, Dame Joanna Lumley - on a bespoke piece for their Footsteps for Freedom Gala, we did not hesitate.
Laura, our head of bespoke design, worked directly with Joanna Lumley to create a pendant that would capture the spirit and values of Born Free in a single piece of jewellery. The result is 3.65ct of green lab grown diamonds and 2.04ct of light blue lab grown sapphires, set in recycled gold.
Green for nature. Blue for the sky and the ocean. Recycled gold for the planet. Every material choice in the piece was intentional.
What Joanna Lumley Said
The whole world is in our hands: sink or swim, jeopardy or protection, survival or a miserable absence of our planet's most glorious animals. It is up to us: as humans we must wield our devastating power with compassion, humility and courage. I love this graceful and stunning pendant, which is as beautiful as it is wise. It captures Born Free's ethics and ambitions perfectly.
Dame Joanna Lumley, patron of the Born Free Foundation
We could not have said it better ourselves.

The Result
The pendant was auctioned at the Footsteps for Freedom Gala and raised a phenomenal £10,000 for Born Free. Every single penny went directly to their work protecting wildlife around the world.
It is, we think, exactly what jewellery can be when it is made with genuine intention. Something beautiful that also does something meaningful.
From our small corner of Cornwall, this is our way of doing our bit. We genuinely believe that what we make and how we make it matters - and this pendant is proof of that.

How You Can Be Part of This
If you love this pendant, we can recreate it for you with customisations to suit your taste. And for every recreation we make, a percentage of the profits will be donated directly to Born Free to continually support their mission.
We are also working on a bespoke collection of jewellery designed exclusively for Born Free, which will support their work on an ongoing basis. We will share more details on this when we are ready to launch.
