Some rings find their person through a long and careful search. Others find them in a single conversation about eye colour.
This is one of our favourite kinds of story - the one where someone arrives looking for something completely different, and leaves with something they never imagined but immediately knew was exactly right.

The Search Begins
When she first got in touch with Ethica Diamonds she had only just started looking. She knew she wanted something beautiful - and she was fairly sure she knew what that looked like. A gold band. A big diamond. Classic. Clean. The kind of ring you cannot go wrong with.
Elaine called the very next day.
What followed was not really a ring consultation. It was a conversation. About Jonny, about their relationship, about the little details that make two people specifically them rather than just anyone.
And somewhere in that conversation, Jonny's voice came up - specifically something he has always said he loves about her. Her bluey green eyes.
The Ring That Stopped Her Heart
Elaine guided her towards the Art Deco collection. And then she saw the Amber ring.
My heart absolutely skipped a beat when I saw it. It was completely unlike anything I had imagined but I fell in love with it immediately.
The Amber is a vivid emerald radiant cut coloured gemstone ring flanked by tapered baguette diamonds and round brilliant accents - bold, warm, architectural, and completely distinctive. It is not the ring most people picture when they think engagement ring. It is the ring that makes people stop and ask.
In this case, it is also the ring that looked like her eyes.
The ordering process was smooth and the communication throughout was exactly what it should be. And then the Amber ring was theirs.
The Proposal
Jonny proposed outside their favourite bakery in York on a sunny day - and they spent the rest of that afternoon with his family, the ring on her finger, the sun still shining.
Simple, warm, and completely them.

Now
They are now happily married. And every single day she gets to look at the ring that started as a conversation about eye colour and became something she could never have imagined choosing on her own.
I'm so very thankful for your lovely team in being such a big part of our journey.
We are so glad we got to be part of it. Congratulations to you both - and to Jonny, for noticing her eyes. That was the right thing to notice.
With so much love from all of us in Newquay. 💎🌿
